Description

This tenugui features standing hina dolls for Hinamatsuri, Japan's Doll Festival, celebrated on March 3rd. During this festival, families with young daughters display ornamental dolls representing the imperial court to wish for the health and happiness of their children. This tenugui is perfect as seasonal decor, bringing a festive touch to any room during the celebration.

By simply inserting this rod into the top and bottom of a tenugui, you can easily create a tapestry.

  • Wash separately from other clothing by hand for the first few washes, as this is a hand-dyed product.
  • Avoid using bleach or detergent containing bleach.
  • After washing, allow it to dry completely.
  • When fraying occurs, trim the loose horizontal threads, leaving about 5mm of the vertical fringe. Repeat this process several times until the fraying stops.
