As the proverb 'Cranes live for a thousand years, Turtles for ten thousand' suggests, this pattern, symbolizing longevity, has been used as an auspicious motif since ancient times. It even appears in historical tales from the Heian period (794-1185), such as the 'Eiga Monogatari', showcasing its deep-rooted significance in Japanese culture.

  • Wash separately from other clothing by hand for the first few washes, as this is a hand-dyed product.
  • Avoid using bleach or detergent containing bleach.
  • After washing, allow it to dry completely.
  • When fraying occurs, trim the loose horizontal threads, leaving about 5mm of the vertical fringe. Repeat this process several times until the fraying stops.
