This design features a fine sharkskin pattern, traditionally used in kimono fabrics. In Japanese culture, sharkskin is considered strong and protective, symbolizing the safeguarding of what’s wrapped inside. The cherry blossom (sakura) is one of Japan’s most beloved flowers and is enjoyed throughout all seasons.
The light green and pink color combination is inspired by sanshoku dango, a traditional three-color sweet often enjoyed in spring.
