Description
In Japan, Raijin, the god of thunder, is affectionately and respectfully referred to as 'Kaminari-sama.' Many of Japanese were told as children that when thunder roared, 'Raijin, the thunder god, is coming to take your belly button.' This saying stems from the olden days when people knew from experience that the temperature often drops suddenly after thunder. It was a way to make sure children didn't leave their stomachs exposed and catch a cold.

By simply inserting this rod into the top and bottom of a tenugui, you can easily create a tapestry.
