Description
This tenugui features the twelve zodiac animals, known as the Jūnishi in Japan.
Originating in ancient China, the zodiac cycle spread across East Asia—to Japan, Korea, and Vietnam—where each country adapted it slightly with its own set of animals and meanings.

Care instructions
- Wash separately from other clothing by hand for the first few washes, as this is a hand-dyed product.
- Avoid using bleach or detergent containing bleach.
- After washing, allow it to dry completely.
- When fraying occurs, trim the loose horizontal threads, leaving about 5mm of the vertical fringe. Repeat this process several times until the fraying stops.
