This hand-dyed tenugui features charming sheep combined with Matsubishi (松菱), a traditional Japanese geometric pattern inspired by pine motifs arranged in diamond shapes.
In Japanese culture, pine trees have long been regarded as auspicious symbols of longevity, resilience, and prosperity, as they remain green throughout the year. Sheep, with their gentle and peaceful nature, add a warm and friendly touch to the design.
The combination of traditional geometric patterns and charming sheep motifs creates a delightful design celebrating 2027, the Year of the Sheep in the Japanese zodiac.
By simply inserting this rod into the top and bottom of a tenugui, you can easily create a tapestry.

Care instructions
- Wash separately from other clothing by hand for the first few washes, as this is a hand-dyed product.
- Avoid using bleach or detergent containing bleach.
- After washing, allow it to dry completely.
- When fraying occurs, trim the loose horizontal threads, leaving about 5mm of the vertical fringe. Repeat this process several times until the fraying stops.
