Description
Mame-shibori is a traditional Japanese tenugui pattern characterized by small, evenly spaced dots, named because the dots resemble tiny beans. Widely used by common people since the Edo period, it has been popular in summer festivals, dances, and as festival headbands. The dots symbolize prosperity and good fortune, making it an auspicious design. Its simple and cool appearance remains popular today.
