'Nigiri sushi' is a traditional type of sushi that originated in Japan during the Edo period. It consists of bite-sized portions of vinegared rice topped with fresh seafood or other ingredients. Despite its simple appearance, nigiri sushi requires skilled craftsmanship to ensure the freshness of the fish and the perfect texture of the rice. Loved for its beautiful presentation and delicate flavors, sushi is enjoyed not only in Japan but around the world. Popular toppings include tuna, salmon, shrimp, and sea urchin. Nigiri sushi is a symbolic dish of Japanese culture, often enjoyed at celebrations and on special occasions.
