Description

Setsubun, meaning "seasonal division," is a traditional Japanese event that marks the transition from winter to spring, celebrated annually around February 3rd. It is believed to bring good fortune and drive away evil spirits. A key ritual during Setsubun is throwing roasted soybeans, known as mamemaki, while chanting "Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!" (Demons out! Fortune in!).

Our Setsubun-themed tenugui features symbolic designs, such as lucky beans and ogres (oni) motifs. These versatile cloths can be used as decorations, gifts, or practical everyday items, all while adding a touch of Japanese tradition to your home.

By simply inserting this rod into the top and bottom of a tenugui, you can easily create a tapestry.
