What's Tenugui?

A tenugui is a thin, rectangular cotton cloth, approximately 90cm by 35cm, that has been used in Japan for centuries.

Traditionally, tenugui are used like towels to dry hands or wipe away sweat. Unlike regular towels, tenugui have unfinished edges, which allow them to dry quickly and stay hygienic. One of the unique charms of tenugui is that they soften in color and texture with each wash, becoming more pleasant to the touch and more beloved with use.

With a wide variety of colors and patterns, tenugui can also be enjoyed as seasonal décor. They make beautiful wall hangings, look lovely framed, and can even serve as placemats or bento wraps.

Let tenugui bring a touch of seasonal charm to your everyday life!
