Description
Grapes are believed to have been introduced through the Silk Road. In the prominent grape-producing region of Katsunuma in Yamanashi Prefecture, there is a legend that dates back to the early Nara period (around 7th to 8th centuries). It suggests that the monk Gyoki (668-749), who was inspired by divine revelation, spread the cultivation of grapes in this area.

By simply inserting this rod into the top and bottom of a tenugui, you can easily create a tapestry.
