Description
Morning glories that bloom brightly in the summer mornings bring a refreshing charm. These kaishi papers, made with washi paper featuring delicately painted morning glories in watercolor, add a touch of elegance when serving tea sweets to guests.
Kaishi papers are made by folding layered washi paper in half. Historically, they were carried in the chest (futokoro) and used for writing letters or notes. Today, they are commonly used in tea ceremonies to hold sweets, but they also serve various purposes such as wiping spills or wrapping money. Their compact size makes them convenient to carry in your bag.
The same pattern is also available in "Kaishiki paper (Morning Glory)" and "Chopsticks and Wrappers (Morning Glory)".
