Description
Cherry blossom patterns have existed since ancient times, and have been seen in cherry blossom paintings since the Heian period (794-1185). It has also been used in costumes, furniture, and armor. It is a pattern that is gorgeous and representative of the spring season.
'Asahi-zakura' is a type of wild cherry blossom, or 'Yama-zakura', known for its radiant and vibrant appearance. Among the most famous "Asahi-zakura" trees is the one located in Kenrokuen Garden in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. This particular tree has gained renown for its breathtaking beauty, and its name, 'Asahi', translates to 'morning sun', evoking the imagery of cherry blossoms glowing in the morning light.
