Description
Origami cranes (ori-zuru), temari balls (temari), shuttlecocks (hane), spinning tops (koma), Yakkokites (yakko-dako), and dice (saikoro). We've recreated these traditional Japanese New Year toys with washi paper. The black bead in the shuttlecock used in Hagoita (Japanese badminton) is called 'mukuroji,' which, written in Kanji as '無患子,' signifies a wish for children to grow up without sickness, making it a lucky charm. Kite flying has been traditionally performed as a celebration of a child's birth and a wish for their healthy growth.
Size: Dice: each side 1.5cm, Temari: diameter 2.5cm
