Description
Lemons were first introduced to Japan in the year 1873 during the Meiji era (1868-1912). While the history of lemons in Japan spans approximately 150 years, relatively short compared to Europe, they are now predominantly cultivated in the warm Seto Inland Sea region of Hiroshima Prefecture.
