This policy explains how cancellations, returns, refunds, and the European Union right of withdrawal are handled by Chidori Japan.
1. Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before they have been shipped.
Customers can request a cancellation through their customer account page.
Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled. However, customers in the European Union may still exercise their statutory right of withdrawal as described below.
2. European Union Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving the last item in your order, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, please submit a return request through your customer account page before the withdrawal period expires.
Returned goods should be sent back within 14 days after notifying us of your decision to withdraw.
If the last day of the withdrawal period or the return shipping period falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline will be extended to the next working day.
Customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless otherwise stated.
You may inspect the goods in the same manner as you would in a physical store. You are liable only for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
3. Returns
To start a return, please submit a return request through your customer account page.
Items returned without a prior return request will not be accepted.

4. Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
5. Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
6. Exceptions / Non-returnable Items
Sale items cannot be returned under our standard return policy.
However, consumers residing in the European Union retain any statutory rights available under applicable law, including the right of withdrawal.
7. Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund has been approved.
If approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund.
