Say cheese! This delightful tenugui features a medley of cheeses from around the world—each with its own unique flavor and charm. Although cheese was first introduced to Japan in the 16th century by Portuguese traders, it wasn't until the modern era that it became a beloved part of everyday life. Today, Japan has developed its own artisanal cheese culture, blending tradition with innovation. This playful design is a tribute to the joy of cheese and the global flavors we’ve come to enjoy.

 

By simply inserting this rod into the top and bottom of a tenugui, you can easily create a tapestry.

  • Made in Japan
  • Wash separately from other clothing by hand for the first few washes, as this is a hand-dyed product.
  • Avoid using bleach or detergent containing bleach.
  • After washing, allow it to dry completely.
  • When fraying occurs, trim the loose horizontal threads, leaving about 5mm of the vertical fringe. Repeat this process several times until the fraying stops.
