Description
This tenugui features a simple yet refined blue stripe pattern on a crisp white background. Known as Kantō-jima (Kantō stripes), this design became popular among townspeople during the Edo period as a symbol of iki—the understated elegance of Japanese style.
Hand-dyed with care, its clean lines and refreshing colors make it perfect for everyday use as a hand towel, table cloth, or fashion accessory.

Care instructions
- Wash separately from other clothing by hand for the first few washes, as this is a hand-dyed product.
- Avoid using bleach or detergent containing bleach.
- After washing, allow it to dry completely.
- When fraying occurs, trim the loose horizontal threads, leaving about 5mm of the vertical fringe. Repeat this process several times until the fraying stops.
