Description
Arabesque pattern, frequently seen on Old Imari dishes, was introduced to Japan along with the spread of Buddhist art from the East. This motif, symbolizing vitality and continuous growth as it depicts endlessly extending vines, is considered auspicious, representing prosperity and longevity. We've creatively adapted this traditional Arabesque to resemble octopus tentacles, coining the playful term 'Octopus Arabesque' for this unique and meaningful design.
