Description
This furoshiki features an elegant arrangement of lacquer bowls viewed from above. The design is part of the Setsugetsuka series, which reimagines traditional Japanese crafts as furoshiki patterns.
The bowls are decorated with auspicious motifs in gold and silver, inspired by maki-e and kin-sai lacquer techniques traditionally used for celebratory tableware. Subtle gradations of color and carefully applied gold pigments recreate the appearance of real lacquerware.
Perfect for wrapping a lunch box or gift, this furoshiki can also be used as a decorative tapestry, table accent, or even a stylish hair accessory.
The fabric has a lightly textured surface similar to the cotton used for summer yukata, making it thin, lightweight, and easy to tie.
